What is Nationwide Scholarship Program? When was it founded?
The Nationwide Scholarship Program is an autonomous program of Society of Ex-Budhanilkantha students run by its own executive committee. It has been sponsoring bright and needy students in Nepal.

It was started in 1991.

Nationwide Scholarship Program is run by Society of Ex-Budhanilkantha Students, which is a non profit organization registered with government of Nepal.

Where does the scholarship money go to?
The money pays for the student’s tuition fee, examination fee and miscellaneous fees plus books and stationeries. The district co-ordinators pay the money directly to the school and buys the scholarship recipient the necessary books and stationeries.

Who are District Coordinators?
The District Coordinators are either alumni or current student of Budhanilkantha school who hail from the district they coordinate. They facilitate in the scholarship distribution in their respective districts.
